5 Current & Epic Food Scandals
How often do you second guess what you’re eating? If you’re anything like me, it’s pretty rare. Sure, I’ll check to see that my meal is cooked the way I like it, that I got the right side to my entree, but I rarely think about where the food itself has come from, or if it could be something different than what I believe.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer that whatever I ingest be incredibly sanitary, mildly tasteful, and certainly not poisonous.
And while my mother’s cooking rarely makes the grade, at least I know where it came from. Similarly, I’m fine imposing my own “5-second rule” on eating something I may have dropped within moments of its fall. But in the same regard, I would be mortified if the “5-second rule” was considered common practice at any local restaurant or factory.
Despite restrictions imposed by the government to help curtail some of the atrocities that could happen to our food behind closed doors, there have still been some mishaps that were nothing less than shocking. Here are some epic scandals from the last few years that slid under the radar for far too long…
