Lol, this is too girly. Not all girls are like that. I wear the same color of pants every week though I have tons of them. It’s not about how you wear the same top or bottom, but how you mix them.

  13. Jossen Row

My wife is planning to get a bigger wardrobe because her clothes are too much because of she shops often. I think she will need this article.

  18. Hena Taylor

I like the idea of changing the lenses instead of buying new sunglasses. A Witty move for you, Hilary. I like your thinking here.

  19. Steev Smith

I don’t get why women are embarrassed if they wear the same skirt/pants twice in a week. I wear the same pants for a week, and no one cares. Lol

    • Joss Butler

You don’t know because you are not in her shoe. Got it? Women are picky when it comes to their clothes, unlike some of you, guys.

Does Rayban offer to change of lens? I never tried that before, does anyone tried that already? I just want to know how much it will cost.

  26. Olive Williams

Same here. I have tons of dress in my closet because I was part of something when I was in college.

  27. Wilma Moore

WHAT? Are you serious about layering a shirt over the dress? IDTS. I will never do that.

  28. Frederica Pellman

I love the peplum look as it covers up the tummy bump. I also love scarves – I notice French women wear them even in summer with t-shirts and white jeans. And sunglasses – it’s never too dark to be cool, and the sun always shines on the cool folks. They convey mystery and glamour and make any outfit look great. I am European, and we believe in using tailors ton make over blouses and skirts into different looks. I especially like using the tailor to make an otherwise fab but too baggy blouse into one that fits my curves. All great ideas and timely for the warmer weather coming (we hope!)

  29. Dawn Katz

I tried wearing a white shirt under my dress. It looks good, that is what my friend said to me that time. Lol, but I think they are telling the truth.

  30. Ani Hoker

Wow! Seriously, this will make my wardrobe bigger! I don’t need to shop every week for my new clothes. I hate repeating my clothes every week.

Scarf eats a lot of space in my wardrobe. I can put some of my clothes in its space but IDK where to put my scarfs. I will try chaining it, or research for another way to keep it.

  33. Jesse Wyss

I’d rather buy new clothes than wasting my time on DIY clothes. I have no talent in DIY so, why waste time if you can buy?

    • Luthi Sanders

You have a point, but if you’re a lack of money, you’ll see this point too.

  34. Paul Daiz

I will let my girlfriend read this one. She has a lot of clothes in our wardrobe, and she’s unhappy because she doesn’t have enough clothes to wear! 😳

  35. Lana Wiliam

Cut your pants, and turn it into shorts. Playing with your scissors is sometimes fun.

  36. Jurik Smith

The timing of this article is perfect. I am in need of expanding my old wardrobe because I have excessive clothes.

  37. Juli Woods

My wardrobe is not that big but full of old clothes. Some of my clothes are out of fashioned already. I don’t know what to do with them, but I don’t want to throw them away.

  38. Jessi Agusta

Seriously? Can pencil skirts compliment with a loose top? I can’t imagine that boho thingy that you are saying. Pencil skirts are hard to mix and match.

  39. Anila William

I have lots of pencil skirts! I wear them at work. I can’t believe it can have more sense outside the office. Lol. I will pair it with some of my loose shirts.

  40. Maria Bruce

Thanks for giving me ideas on what to do about my old clothes! ☺ I was planning to throw them away, but I read this article.

  42. Great ideas! I have so many pencil skirts that I have only worn once. I seriously don’t know what to do with them, I am actually planning to just give them away. But, thanks to all of your advice, I now have a week long plan of wardrobe and I don’t even have to repeat any clothing item! 😀

  43. As for the scarfs, I can say with confidence that they’re my favorite wardrobe item. There are so many different ways to tie a scarf, you could say it’s an art, like origami. But it would’ve never occurred to me to wear something on top of a dress. Neat trick! I’ll try to give this one a chance before the weather gets too hot.

  44. Cute ideas. I was wondering what to do with some of my mini-dresses. I have blouses that I thought I couldn’t wear with anything — but pairing them over a minidress would look HOT!

  45. I love the peplum top idea! I’ll follow your instructions and use a large shirt (I have the perfect one), cut the bottom off, tailor it in so it’s tight and then sew the bottom back on without making it smaller, so it ends up looking like this. Fabulous idea!!

  46. Hannah Mayers

Wardrobe expansion is a problem (a big problem for that matter) especially for professionals like me. More often than not, I’m confused what kind of dress, blouse or skirt to buy. I honestly don’t invest in accessories that much. But after reading this article, I have seen the importance of accessories. From now on, I would start investing on accessories too 🙂

  47. Saving up for nice statement dresses is important, just in case you have a formal party for work or an event to attend. As a Greek member myself, I still have all my dresses from professional and formal events 🙂

  48. Courtney Watson

I must admit, making my wardrobe is a challenge! These tips are really awesome! They can help me have a new look everyday LOL!

But I guess I should invest on more accessories!

  49. Jen Spillane

    Great suggestions!

  50. Tami Winbush

I love that peplum top – I've never seen anything so beautiful. As a bigger woman, I've found that that I tend to wear things that make me look like a old lady wearing a mumu. When I venture to wear something that has ruching on it, I look stunning and I do have curves, they are just fuller.

  51. I always have trouble staying creative with my outfit, so new tips to mix things up are more than welcome. I'll definitely try adding some scarves to my outfits!
