Like it or not, animal print is a classic pattern in fashion that’s here to stay. What used to just be on clothes has now branched out to purses, scarves, shoes and more … but don’t go crazy. We all know that too much of a good thing can definitely be bad.

5 Animal Print Dos & Don’tsTo keep it from becoming dull, five, fresh ideas have been identified on how to wear the feisty print while keeping the pattern both classy and trendy. Read on.

1. DO Accentuate It

If you want to put focus on the pattern, you should keep the rest of your outfit subdued. A way of doing so is by pairing it with a lot of black, brown or white. The leopard pattern will stand out without being overpowering or fading into the background.

2. DON’T Experiment With Prints

A fashion rule goes; never mix prints! The prints will completely compete with each other, ultimately resulting in a total mess.

Think of it as the same principle that was previously mentioned. Don’t let your accessories be in conflict with your animal prints. If you’re wearing an animal pattern, the rest of your outfit should be simply elegant.

4. DO Be Subtle

Animal prints are easy to find, but if you’re looking into freshening it up, start looking for animal patterns in hazy subdued colors. Go for a muted purple or gray for a more sophisticated look.

Friday I wore black Levi Strauss bootcut jeans with a black blouse tucked inside my jeans so you could see belt and leopard shoes and purse. It looked great. I matched belt, purse and shoes perfectly. I looked sexy and cute. Not trashy and slutty.

Leopard print is so classic and can either be sexy or trashy. I think it's best to use it sparingly, like in your shoes or a purse. I think, as you said, if it's going to be the print of your dress you should stick to a faint animal pattern.

Leopard prints are really cute but it’s never really my thing. To be honest… 😉
