Working long hours? Sick of wasting time on online dating just to find out that you have no chemistry in person? Wondering if you want to try speed dating to save time? Here’s a crash course to give you a head-start.

My Adventures in Speed Dating

For research, (oh, the things we journalists have to do in the name of research…) I attended three fun-filled speed dating events. Also in the name of research, I chose three different persona’s for the three different events: British Airways Flight Attendant, Professional Chef, and International Fashion Model. I was curious to see if these men were really serious about meeting an intelligent woman for a serious relationship.

For the first event I told the men that I was a stewardess and was away most of the time and therefore not looking for anything serious. As a professional chef, I showed my best sophisticated and educated face, and, as a fashion model, I was uncomplicated and bubbly. Let’s see what the men preferred…

  1. It is always a numbers game and speed dating can help you meet a lot of people in a short amount of time, of course so can online dating but it has its own pitfalls

For real? Are women moving instead of men? Chivalry is dead!! They are more in favor of men, that’s why.

Whoa! That’s the deal if you’re lying while on a speed date. You will meet and meet people you met before. It’s up to you how will you handle your lying. It’s better, to tell the truth from the start.

Wow! Your stewardess character is insane!!! How did you do that? Well, men would like to date a stewardess. who wouldn’t want, right?

It’s hard to lie especially in your career. Like that, what if there’s someone connected to your fake job? It’s hard if you thought you are being caught up! Hahahaha You’re a good liar, I think.

I used to lie in speed dating. It’s a way to impress your target partner. It’s normal to lie in speed dating, but of course, make sure you can handle it.

I remember when I lied on a speed date and ends up we both like each other. I’m so fucked up that time. Hahaha!

Speed dating is an old school, right? I remember my aunts talking about speed dating, and how they met guys before.

I used dating agencies in the past. The worst thing I have ever done. All I can say is, I’ve regretted ever since and never again. Unfortunately, I am not particularly good looking and hate mirrors.

So what if every guy will be asking hypothetical questions?? I’m going speed dating next week for the very first time. And I am having the awkward feeling that I am just going to simply crash and burn, LOL. perhaps I can use these tips to my advantage.

The problem with me is I am not a picky man, I got rejected more than 50% of the time. And when I look around in the city, I see girls hanging around with muscular, dark-skinned guys. Men that are little less good-looking are outdone apparently.
