12 Super-Secret Hotspots in NYC

Angel’s Share is inside Japanese restaurant Village Yokocho, take the unmarked door off the dining room and head upstairs to a classy spot with bartenders in tuxes, and some of the best craft cocktails around. Try the Grasshopper or the plum wine. Excellent bar snacks and a fantastic view out a huge window. Definitely for couples; four peeps max.

12 Super-Secret Hotspots in NYC

An abandoned insurance office is the front for this invisible West Village date spot. Start on the corner of Hudson and Morton. Should you find yourself staring at a boarded-up 1970s storefront: perfect. From there, head around back and walk exactly 14 paces to an unmarked green door. Slip inside and enter a secret garden. With a sunken dining room, tables made from reclaimed wood, al fresco dining, and a secret downstairs dining room, supermodel Erin Heatherton calls this her favorite patio in NYC. All this and the cuisine is locally sourced farm-to-table. What more could you ask for?

“[My favorite place to grab cocktails is] Hudson Clearwater, they have the best patio in NYC and they’re right around the corner from me. My favorite drink is Mezcal on the rocks.” – Erin Heatherton.

Definitely want to try some of these bars! What is the dress code for say, Little Branch?

Bathtub gin is one of the greatest in NYC. Its my go-to place with my college buds. 😀

  3. What a great resource! I’m going to use this list the next 12 dates I go on LOL

Instrata looks pretty cool. Their “Gramercy” location is more like Murray Hill though… Cool concept. More buildings should have concierges and other services like that.

  4. Will definitely check out these places when I’m in NYC. Who knows, I may even hop from one place to another, they are all gems! 🙂

The Raines Law Room and Death & CO looks so cool! I’m going to get a drink (or three) at them this weekend. Please do more articles like this!!!

These look so hip! But am I too old to go? What’s the average age range at these places? What should I wear??

  7. Fantastic list! I love checking out spots like this — you always meet interesting people at them.

  8. I’ve been to a few of these places and they’re great. It’s always impressive when someone brings me to a truly hidden gem like some of these, rather than the typical spots (like Top of the Standard, although I love it there too…)

What a great list!! I’m going to save this and check these places out one-by-one.
