Ok, admit it. You can be a bit obsessive. Hey, that’s love! It’s not your fault — it hijacks the brain! If you’re like me, you want to spend all your time with your boo. But, is that really healthy?

We all hate it when our best girlfriends go MIA after meeting a new squeeze. So why be that girl? It’s important to have your own life, your own friends, and your own interests. Besides, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
So what’s the solution? A girl’s-only getaway, of course! Here’s how to plan the perfect long-weekend away:
- Start a Facebook Group and invite your best girlfriends. Make sure it’s set to private so you don’t get randos or non-besties trying to join.
- Find a long weekend that works for all of you, to go on a trip together. Make sure everyone comments and confirms! @Tag your friends to make sure they see the most important messages.
- Pick a vacation destination. My favorite way to do this is to pick an event, festival, concert, or destination spa and base the trip around that. If you need ideas, here’s a list of the best music festivals.

What destinations, concerts, or events do you think would be perfect for a girl’s getaway?

My friends and I often do meetups and out of town vacations at random.
I’m always on the lookout for new stuff! Would like to try Square Cash
Hmmm… let me try Square Cash.
Oh wow! Fantastic article! Sharing this with my girl friends!
It’s important to have time for everything — for boyfriend / partner, children, family, friends and for yourself!
I agree! Never deprive yourself of quality time!
Great tips!
I love to swim and soak in the water in a remote location for a girls getaway. I would also enjoy a massage and maybe a stroll outdoors. Indulgent & relaxing. I would love to spend a few days there with my sister & sister-in-law and we’ll have a great time. Thank you for posting this.
I agree with number 5 — Assign someone to do the booking for the group and have them pay you! I do it most of the time and so far, no canceled trips 🙂
We also do that in our vacation trips, We always assign this task to the person who has a credit card, hahaha! The good thing about it is we can avail the buy now pay later option. 🙂
Excited with planning a Holiday getaway with friends 🙂 Thanks for this wonderful piece! Bookmarked!
I’m concerned with security issues whenever doing online payments. I’m open to trying Square Cash, probably only for small transactions at this time.
