  1. Such an insightful article from Feminist Current. Ageing is tough. It is especially so, for those that may not have accomplished goals or have not obtained self respect through their jobs or actions.

    • Very much enjoyed this week’s discoveries. Really touched by Lori Day’s article. Beautifully written! There’s still a long way til I can say I’m aging, but when I do, I will strive to be a strong, capable wise old person, but will always miss, just a little bit, the way a group of men opened up their conversational circle when I approached. 🙂

  2. I love the New York Facts! 😀 My brother lives in Brooklyn. One thing I didn’t know was how ridiculously easy it is to ride around. The Red Hook area looked like it was undergoing a bit of a makeover too.

  3. Gotta love how confident BuzzFeed is that we don’t know these things about New York. Those facts have been all over the internet for years.

Regardless, great job putting all these aritcles together in one post. They’re all geniunely interesting.

  4. Great advice from Lori Day! With physical change we must also accept a change in our perspective to truly adapt and continue to grow. I would love to see us- Americans- become more accepting of the aging process. Starting with Hollywood. In other countries I notice women are much more accepting of the aging process.

  5. Amazing discoveries. Especially loving the one about aging. I believe she is right when she said that aging concerns are usually a symptom of fears and feelings about deeper issues. If we take the time to acknowledge and explore these fears, perhaps aging will become less of a concern. I find it interesting though that this is more of a problem with women than with men!

  6. It is indeed very important to make a good first impression. In our day, even a good impression isn’t enough. You have to make a GREAT impression to have a better chance than the other candidates.

  7. There actually is a Trump movie! It’s called “You’ve Been Trumped”in the genre of documentary, released in 2011. With 6 award wins and 2 nominations. It’s worth a watch. Still accurate even though it was done 5 years ago.

  8. I’m hitting 30 soon, and I’m actually quite happy with things. Sure, I don’t look like I did when I was 20. But I exercise, try to eat well and I still enjoy friends, family and activities. It’s a cliche, but it’s also true. Age is just a number. We can overanalyze that number or just accept that numbers tend to keep going up!

    • I think too that people who want to stay young forever have difficulties to grow and accept who they are and often get disappointed when surgery does not bring them happiness or love they expect because their look is not the real issue, the problem is in their mind.
