We’ve all dealt with haters. I know I’ve had my fair share. I even wrote an article about how to overcome haters after a particularly bad hater experience. IMHO, in life, it’s not what obstacles you have to endure, it’s how you deal with them that determines how happy and successful you’ll be in life. Check out how these people are dealing with the obstacles in their life, and society:

McDonalds and every other fast food chain are all so nasty!! My brother was given a rotten egg in his Egg McMuffin…. it was disgusting.
I don’t get the point of veggie meat substitute. There are so many lovely vegetarian dishes out there which don’t require anything remotely like meat: why not enjoy those instead? You can do nice things with tofu, lentils, and the like.
This is just my opinion but I think some do that trend since they want to experience how is it like to eat meat. Maybe because they just miss the feeling. Maybe they just became vegetarians. I also asked this question to my friend but she gave me a vague answer. So I understood that they want to pursue being a vegan but still misses meat so they find alternatives but they don’t want to be judged by non-vegans. With this I respect my friend for her decision.
I’ve read about your “How to Overcome Haters” and I can say that, yeah, it’s true. People’s personality are so complex that you can never group them specifically and have a manual to deal with them. Some are with pure thoughts and good heart, helping you in their own way but sometimes misunderstood. Some are evil and clever enough to make you believe that they are good. You just have to choose the right words, timing, and facial expression. Just as a proverb says, “Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a ruling rightly given.”
Yes indeed. There are so many intelligent words to use against a hater but not all are effective in making them stop. You can always throw or trash them with a group but you can never make them like you, it’s their habit to hate specific people. Some are even harsh enough that they are beyond change. So if you find haters, while you still can, approach them with kindness, humbleness, and wise words. Nobody want’s to hate a peace loving person unless you’re that evil.
Nothing to do with MC’Donalds, but, before we became vegan and started to make all of our food ourselves, I found a toenail in a frozen pizza. That was the day we became vegan.
That’s really horrible! I can imagine myself being enraged if I saw that one myself. How can they even place a toenail on a pizza? Are they making it on the floor? You should report that to the local authority.
Hatred shows the hating capacity of a person. It has little to do with you or the outside world. If the hatred target is removed once by leaving, it will find another destination target. Unless the source hater learns to deal with it. People who hate others find reasons to hate and justify the wrongs to be right. Hate is like an acid in a vessel. Hate will burn the container from within. Hate can only be neutralized by loving compassion and learning to forgive others. We need to constantly GROUND ourselves daily and learn NOT to take all problems of this world as a personal insult. Love and peace to all!
Well said ! Even though the first couple of haters are harder to “swallow” than you smash it, but after a while it’s easy to focus on the “lovers” and ignore the haters.
If a hater has really gotten to me then i’ll imagine the haters presence in my life as the cigarette in my hand. Then i’ll go ahead and smoke that cigarette, both relaxing me and burning the haters presence. ?
One thing I learned from your collection today: It’s a choice and you have it!
– You decide whether you ignore or shame your haters
– You determine how you balance work and life
– You have an option, go vegan / meatless or stay having your burgers
– You choose if you want to be a unicorn!
Decide wisely and responsibly 🙂
I am guilty of eating vegetarian ready meals once a week or so, but tend to avoid the meat substitute ones. I’ve just been told to leave gluten out of my diet though, and gluten free ready meals are few and far between I think.
Wasting time thinking about a hater is time you could be using for your much better things.
I’ve never really had haters – at least not in-my-face haters, but I did have someone talk negatively about one of my articles in a forum today, and, as far as I know, that’s never happened before.
I think that’s a good thing! It means I’m standing out. It means I’m different than the other people in my niche. And that’s EXACTLY what I want to be!
As a vegan, I tend to avoid meat substitues when I am cooking; I use pulses and vegetables mainly. But I think the people who have to cook for me and aren’t used to a veggie diet find them a godsend, and they are good for quick and easy protein and bulking out curries and stir fries. The trick is not to expect them to taste like meat, and to cook them in a sauce with lots of flavour, or add loads of herbs and spices.
Hey, that’s a brilliant idea! I thought that in using a meat substitute, you must have one with good quality that it almost taste the same. I think my idea is a bit expensive. Having your idea much creative and produces different flavors. I’d like to try it out soon. Thanks a lot!
Yes, I agree. You can even find many recipes on the internet. Just believe that google is your friend. I have searched and tried too many combinations of herbs and spices which are available in our backyard. Some ingredients are easy to get but some are ordered but regardless, having them can produce many kinds of flavor. You can even produce a flavor you’ll never get tired tasting.
