  1. I’m in awe after watching this video of this amazing and brave woman Gail Chovan! It takes such great strength to go through what she’s gone through and still be so confident. Many women in her situation would get implants. Even those who never lost a breast these days get implants. If she’s not brave then what is she? She sets a wonderful example for us women!

    • You couldn’t be more right, Anouska! I was thinking just the same. It’s amazing to see how comfortable she is in her skin. She has some serious courage. And a big well done to her supportive husband. 🙂

  2. I believe in keeping a positive mindset at the start of your day as positive things are also going your way. There are times that things are tough but at the end of the day, it will get better. Those are the things that I am always thankful for.

  3. One can’t not be liked enough if she loves the attention and popularity likes myself, so I think the article about how to be liked everyone you meet is a true gem. The only part that didn’t add up is… Why do FBI care about how to get people to like you? Don’t they have super bad criminals to go after? Haha

  4. Ok, I’ve read the post on how to make people like… I can honestly say that I fit most of these criteria, but I still find it hard to make friends. People say my kindness, passion for my hobbies and willingness to be accommodating is annoying. It’s been that way all my life. The issue is that these things are nice in theory but usually not valued in practice. People are fickle and judgemental. Kindness, accommodation and honesty are taken advantage of. We look at these kind of people as being the lesser while perusing the company of self centered people..

    • It might be that people also appreciate assertiveness. Personally, I like people who aren’t afraid to voice their opinion, and speaking from experience, I think if you’re (too) accommodating you can come across as insincere, or a bit needy.

Haha, alternatively, it could be that you seem too perfect and that perfection freaks people out. Meh, let it be, and just continue as. Besides, everyone is somewhat selfish anyway.

      • In all honesty it’s probably because you might be overcompensating and come off looking ‘needy’. But hey their opinions do not matter right? If you enjoy doing what you like to do it has nothing to do with them. 😉

  5. To this day, I didn’t know that MET had enabled their collection to be viewed digitally. Thank you! This is a marvelous, rich, and generous undertaking that will make a big difference in bringing quality art to everyone. Few of us can travel to NYC at will to see a particular work of art. They have given us all an opportunity to enjoy and to share some of art’s great masterworks. My wish is that we will embrace this lovely gift to bring beauty to our lives – especially to our children. Thank you for letting us know! You’ve made an old lady very happy. 🙂

  6. Curious: since the US declared a photograph of artwork is not new work warranting its own copyright, and these works are all public domain, by what legal basis is the MET limiting use of the images for commercial endeavors? These do not appear sufficiently modified to warrant new copyright protection as a derivative work. public domain is public domain… They base the restriction they’re imposing on their website Terms of Service, but I think they’re imposing a restriction they have no basis to impose.

    • Hi Jodie, I see what you mean, but these free downloadable images are intended for non-commercial use only. This is why the pictures are NOT high resolution. They are at most 150 dpi which is not acceptable for digital publishing (i.e. book covers).

  7. Good post on how to make people like you. Everyone has a problem with communication, but sometimes what we really need is only to undergo our life naturally and always keep in mind to respect others as always.
